Election to the Nominations Committee

The election of three members of the Nominations Committee will take place during the General Assembly that will be held on Sunday 2 June 2019 in Vienna (AU). All candidates will give a verbal presentation of their case. The term of office is two years starting as of 1 January 2020.

Role

The Nominations Committee shall advise the Board of Directors about suitable candidates for the nomination of Chairs and members of other committees. The Nominations Committee shall comprise the President, the President-Elect or Immediate Past-President, and four elected active members who are not currently members of the Board of Directors.

The term of office of elected members of the Nominations Committee shall be two years, renewable once on re-election.

Eligibility

Applicants should have been active ESA members for at least 5 years and a member of an ESA committee, Council, or Board of Directors for at least 3 years. Elected members of the Nominations Committee shall not be Chairs of ESA Committees or members of the Board of Directors.

Applicants must demonstrate significant experience of ESA committee work and/or management of the ESA when applying.

The elected members of the Nominations Committee should be working professionally in different countries.
